Stream Mill Installation Guide

Installing StreamMill as a Service:

  1. Pros: Simple
    Cons: You are sharing the server with others, so performance and stability may suffer

  2. Download: Stream Mill Client
    To Run the client:
    - Untar the contents in a directory of your choice
    - Run "java -jar StreamMill.jar" in that directory

Installing StreamMill Standalone (Recommended):

    Important: You need to download and install all 3 parts: (1) Client, (2) SMMServer base (3) SMMServer Update
  1. Pros: You have the control over both the server and the client
    Cons: Requires a VM

  2. Download: Stream Mill Client
    To Run the client:
    - Untar the contents in a directory of your choice
    - Run "java -jar StreamMill.jar" in that directory
    Download: Stream Mill Server base (includes ubuntu VM)
    Download: Stream Mill Server update [Updated 04/21/2012]
